PLANS to build six flats with associated car parking are likely to be refused following objections from residents.
Trevor Ramshaw has applied to Chester-le-Street District Council for permission to build the two-bedroomed flats on land near Emmanuel House, Hilda Terrace, South Pelaw.
The proposal is for a three-storey development with six car parking spaces.
Permission has already been granted for four flats on the site.
Neighbours object to the latest proposals, saying they would obstruct their light, lead to parking problems and be out of character with the area.
Planning officers have recommended that a planning committee reject the scheme when it meets on Monday.
