A FIVE-MONTH-OLD puppy is looking for a new home after being taken into foster care.
Cross-breed Meika was taken to The National Animal Sanctuary's Support League in Darlington after her family was unable to cope as their house being too small and there was a new baby in the family.
She is now living with Ruth Blundell and her family in Eaglescliffe, while waiting for a permanent home.
Mrs Blundell said: "She is such a cutie and adores children and other pets.
"She is the perfect pet and is very sociable."
Meika will grow no larger than a border collie, and it is hoped she can be housed with a family who can take her out on walks and spend a lot of time with her.
Pauline Wilson, from the sanctuary, said: "She is quite bouncy and such a pretty little thing.
"She adores spending time with families and we are hoping to rehouse her soon."
Anybody who would like to offer a home to Meika can contact Mrs Wilson on (01325) 321855 or Mrs Blundell on (01642) 351818.
