A shopkeeper who raised £800 in the Great North Run has thanked his customers and friends for supporting him.
Barry Hill, of the Village Store, in Delves Lane, Consett, has donated £400 each to the charity Meningitis Research and Delves Lane Methodist Church. Mr Hill raised money for the charity because his daughter, Sarah Louise, survived meningitis.
