CHRISTMAS came early to a corner of Teesside yesterday.
About 240 women from across the area attended a fundraising event at the Swallow Hotel, Stockton, in aid of the Teesside Hospice.
There were festive theme stalls, Yuletide hints and tips and demonstrations of gift wrapping and festive flower arrangements.
Guests enjoyed mulled wine, roast turkey with all the trimmings and festive entertainment.
Margaret Kent, head of fundraising for the hospice, said: "Our pre-Christmas luncheon follows on from the success of our sell-out Royal Ascot Ladies Day Luncheon, held earlier in the year at Gisborough Hall.
"Once again, we are giving ladies from around the area the chance to wear that extra special outfit whilst enjoying as day out with friends while raising funds for Teesside Hospice.''
