Bishop Auckland manager Brian Honour blasted his players for their mistakes after they threw away a two goal lead and crashed out of the FA Trophy at home to Kidsgrove on Saturday.
Bishops looked as if they were cruising into the next round when Stuart Irvine scored twice, but then they fell apart.
Honour said; "I cannot question the players' attitude and commitment, but they made elementary mistakes which are costing us dear.
"It's not just the defenders and the keeper to blame, but the whole team.
"They don't do simple things like block shots, or track players back, or communicate.
"They are basic things which you would expect a player at this level to do.
"It's getting to the point when we need to score three times to win a game."
Bishops took the lead when Stuart Irvine headed in a Chris Moore's cross after seven minutes, then he added a second from another Moore cross.
But then Bishops let Kidsgrove back into the game.
Ben Matthews pulled one back in a scramble on 24 minutes, and then he equalised as the defence ball watched on 31 minutes. Andy Kinsey scored what proved to be the winner before half-time.
Bishops' league cup tie at North Ferriby tomorrow night has been postponed because Ferriby are involved in an FA Trophy replay.
Spennymoor drew 0-0 at Bamber Bridge and so replay tomorrow night, but coach Graham Clark thought that they should have gone through.
"I thought we dominated the game from start to finish, and their keeper was outstanding."
Danny Brunskill was twice denied by home keeper Andy Banks, Michael Oliver hit the bar, while John Toft created several opportunities from good runs.
Moors sub Keith Graydon was sent off near the end for violent conduct.
Blyth won their first game in open play under manager Harry Dunn when they triumphed 3-2 at Witton Albion.
They led 3-0 at one time through goals from Andy Appleby (two) and Graham Fenton.
Gateshead must travel to Southport for a replay tomorrow night following a 1-1 draw. Lee Hamilton put them in the lead, but Southport levelled ten minutes from the end.
Whitby drew 1-1 at Marine and must replay on Wednesday night at the Turnbull Ground.
Graham Robinson put them in the lead after 27 minutes.
