YOUNG cricketers have been honoured at a presentation evening.
Durham Cricket Board Schools Cricket Association Junior Squads held a celebration dinner to mark the end of the season at Durham County Cricket Club's Riverside ground, in Chester-le-Street.
John Windows, assistant coach at Durham CCC Academy, said: "The awards enable us to recognise great individual talent, as well as giving us the opportunity to discuss some of the fantastic team efforts during the season."
Director of cricket Geoff Cook and Don Robson, chairman of the Durham Cricket Board, presented the prizes.
The winners of the Player's Player of the Year Awards were: Phil Miller, Blaydon CC - under-11s; Craig Stephenson, Chester-le-Street CC - under-12s; Michael Turns, Whitburn CC - under-13s; Shaun Hauxwell, Houghton CC - under-14s; and Paul Johnston, Hartlepool CC - under-15s.
