A hotel owner is to celebrate her first year in business with an open house invitation to her supporters.
Kate Daykin took over the Kirkgate House Hotel, in Thirsk, last November.
On November 24, she has invited all the people and organisations that supported her to call round for bubbly and bacon butties.
She said: "As a young woman in business for the first time, I have had great support from the local Business Link, The Yorkshire Tourist Board and the Ladies Chamber of Trade.
"I find a lot of my business comes from local recommendations and it's nice for local people to see what my guest rooms are like, as they will probably never stay in them themselves."
