A FAMILY has offered a home to a puppy whose plight was featured in The Northern Echo.
Five-month-old cross-breed Meika was living in foster care in Eaglescliffe after being taken to The National Animal Sanctuary's Support League in Darlington.
Her plight was featured in The Northern Echo last week.
On Sunday, Pauline Wilson, from the sanctuary, visited a family in Heighington, near Darlington, and the pup is due to go and live with them in the near future.
Anyone who can offer a home to an unwanted dog or cat can telephone Mrs Wilson on (01325) 321855.
