A TEAM of employees from east Durham's Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) will carry out a garden makeover.
The workers will transform land at the Sure Start House centre, in Shotton Colliery, into a recreational resource.
The area is being reseeded, planters are being installed and a paved area laid. One part will be kept in a natural state to encourage wildlife.
Operated and managed in partnership by Groundwork East Durham and Houghall Enterprises Ltd, the ILM team has already undertaken a variety of community projects in the Easington area.
ILM offers long-term unemployed people a year's work to improve their clients' individual job prospects.
