BROADBAND agency Adit has recruited a business development manager for the north of the region.
GARY BROWN, 47, has left his previous job as a telecommunications consultant to join the agency set up by the Department for Trade and Industry to increase the availability of broadband and its use and to secure best value for the public sector when buying broadband.
He has worked for BT as global account director for Nissan/Renault.
Mr Brown, who lives in County Durham and is married with two children, said: "Broadband is changing the way we all live and work and Adit is managing and facilitating much of that change, so this is tremendously exciting challenge for someone like me who has worked in the telecommunications business for so long. Adit has been extremely successful in the North-East, having, in its short life, brokered a number of key public service contracts. I am joining because Adit's success is begetting even more success and that means more business development work to be done.''
