THE economic spokesman for the Liberal Democrats will be the guest of honour at a business dinner in the region next week.
The Liberal Democrat MP Dr Vincent Cable will address business leaders from across the region at the North East Chamber of Commerce Tyne and Wear dinner on Thursday, November 18.
Before election to Parliament, Dr Cable was chief economist of Shell International and was also head of economics at the Royal Institute of International Affairs and was special advisor to Commonwealth secretary- general Sonny Ramphal.
Wendy Reaney, at the North East Chamber of Commerce, said: "It is a privilege to have a guest speaker with the knowledge and expertise of Dr Cable."
