WALKERS will put their best foot forward for a good cause this week by gathering donations for a children's charity during their fortnightly jaunt.
Auckland Amblers will collect money for the Save The Children Fund during a two-mile walk this Thursday.
Members decided to raise money for the charity as a thank-you to Asda supermarket, in Bishop Auckland, which has nominated the charity as its annual good cause.
The store allows members to park their cars for free while they enjoy short walks in the area every other Thursday.
The group is supported by Age Concern and is part of the Wear Walking for Health initiative.
Members of the public are invited to join the two-mile walk, leaving the Asda car park at 1pm, and for refreshments afterwards to find out more about the group.
