Schoolchildren have taken part in a spring bulb planting project, organised by the Rotary Club of Guisborough and Great Ayton.
During the past eight years, the club has supervised the planting of more than 10,000 crocus and daffodil bulbs in the flowerbeds in the Stump Cross and Enfield Chase areas of the town.
Children from Northgate and Belmont Primary Schools met at Somerfield's car park, in Enfield Chase on Monday, to take part in the planting.
Mark Hards, club president, said: "Having the children plant the bulbs gives them a sense of responsibility and, when they see the spring flowers, we hope it gives them a feeling of pride in their community."
