COMMUNITY groups and voluntary organisations could get grants of up to £1,000.
The money, from West Redcar Single Regeneration Budget fund, is available in the Coatham, Dormanstown, Kir-kleatham and Newcomen wards for projects that benefit the community.
An information event, with project staff on hand to help groups to apply, will be held on Wednesday, November 24, at St Williams Parish and Community Centre, South Avenue, Dormanstown, from 7pm to 8.15pm.
Groups that have previously received grants will also describe their projects and show how the community has benefited. To book a place, call (01642) 444281.
