Youngsters had a chance to see how work to build a children's centre was progressing this week.

The children, from Honeypots Toddler Group, viewed the site, in the grounds of Haswell Primary School, Haswell, in east Durham.

When complete, the centre will provide services for children under five and their families in the village

It has been pioneered by SureStart County Durham, which is supported by Durham County Council.

A drop-in event will be held on Saturday, November 27, between 10am and 1pm, in Haswell Community Centre for people to find out what services the centre will offer.
