A trip to in-form Histon awaits the winners of Darlington's replay at Yeovil - and the Cambridgeshire outfit will be relishing the prospect of hosting another League Two side after completing a giant-killing against Shrewsbury Town.

The Stutes have now won ten consecutive matches and are fifth in the Premier Division of the Southern League, equivalent to the level Spennymoor United and Bishop Auckland play, three divisions below League Two.

On Saturday, Histon, celebrating their centenary year, qualified for the second round for the first time in their history by beating the Shrews 2-0 at home with goals from Ian Cambridge and Charles Liban.

If Darlington win next week's replay they'll travel to Histon's Glassworld Stadium on the weekend of December 4.

Quakers' future involvement in this season's FA Cup would have been a lot clearer had they hung on to their 3-2 lead, but Bartosz Tarachulski's injury time strike on Saturday ensured a replay and it caused anger among Darlington players and officials.

First Brian Close was harshly sent-off for committing a professional foul but more infuriating for Quakers was that Yeovil took the resulting free-kick much closer to Darlington's goal, within shooting range, when the infringement had occurred near the halfway line.

After the free-kick was initially blocked ten-man Quakers were unable to clear and Tarachulski popped up to salvage a draw.

Close was an angry man after incurring Darlington's first red card of the season, saying he fully expected to receive a booking.

"At 3-2 up in the last minute I'd have taken a booking just to stop their attack, kill a bit of time and get men behind the ball," said Close who will be banned for three games, starting with Wednesday's trip to Swansea.

"I couldn't get my foot to the ball so I just flicked it with my hand, I was expecting to get a yellow because Matt Clarke was running back with me.

"But then the ref gives me a red card.

"You've got to laugh, what else can you do? It was such a wrong decision.

"Everybody in the changing room is convinced there were bodies behind the ball.

"None of the Yeovil lads appealed to the ref, I don't think even they were expecting a red."

* Former Darlington striker Robbie Blake chalked-up his 100th league goal at the weekend when he struck for Burnley against Nottingham Forest in a 1-0 win.

The Middlesbrough-born forward scored 21 league goals for Quakers, 23 in all competitions, after making his professional debut in March 1995 before joining Bradford City two years later.
