A FERRYHILL butcher's speciality sausages proved the perfect recipe for success when he landed three regional prizes.
John Allison scooped three gold awards at the North-East product evaluation event - part of the British Pig Executive's regional road show for butchers.
Among the prizes won by Allison's of Ferryhill was a category champion award for beef and ale bangers.
Mr Allison said: "I was delighted with the judges' response to my products and was particularly pleased to win a category award. With the certificate and award on show in my shop I am hoping that there will be an increase in interest and, of course, sales."
