Darlington FC is urging young fans to get their war paint on for a vital game on Saturday.

The Quakers are giving free entry to the league game against Lincoln City to any child under 16 - accompanied by a paying adult - who arrives with a painted face.

Every paying fan through the turnstiles will be also making a contribution to Children In Need, as the club will donate 50p for every ticket sold.

The match, at the Williamson Motors Stadium, kicks off at 3pm and the club is hoping for a big show of support.

A competition will be held at half-time to find the best painted face, with the winner receiving a family ticket to be guests of the club at Darlington's home match with Mansfield Town on Saturday, December 7.

This week, Quakers stars Adolfo Gregorio and Stephen Thomas visited the Just Learning nursery, in Darlington, where children enjoyed some face painting.
