WOULD-BE astronomers are being offered the chance of a close-up glimpse of Saturday's full moon.
York Observatory, in the city's Museum Gardens, is opening its doors between 6pm and 8pm.
Under the direction of curator of astronomy Martin Lunn, visitors can watch the phenomenon through the observatory's 1850 telescope. Admission is free.
