YOUNG people got inspiration from rowers, an international rugby player and the European dog-sled champion yesterday.
Members of the armed forces showed off their skills at an Enterprise Insight day at the Army Foundation College, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Organiser Rear Admiral Simon Goodall said the event gave young people the chance to meet achievers and gain an insight into how they, too, could go the extra mile in life.
"I am delighted the Ministry of Defence is involved in this week of activities designed to inspire young people and show what can be achieved in all career paths," he said.
Among those present was the European dog-sled champion Captain Graeme Scott and his team of six Scandinavian hounds.
RAF rowers who crossed the Atlantic, the captain of the Scottish rugby sevens team and a young military chef also lined up to talk to the youngsters.
