STUDENTS from a Darlington college have sampled military life - by taking part in a team-building challenge with the Territorial Army.
Six GNVQ business students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College attended Bramble Hill Farm, Middlesbrough, for a series of activities.
They had to demonstrate effective planning, preparation and leadership skills.
The activities included dismantling rifles, a blindfold challenge, building a bird table and fixing wheels on a tank.
Teacher Clare Russ said: "The students did really well and I was very proud of them.
"They clearly demonstrated their leadership, interpersonal and team-working skills and were extremely competitive. They had fun and enjoyed putting into practice what they had learned in class."
