THE sights and songs of a Hollywood science-fiction B-movie are coming to a County Durham school.
Teesdale Comprehensive School, in Barnard Castle, is staging Return to the Forbidden Planet, a musical based on the Shakespeare play, The Tempest.
The musical is staged to resemble a 1950s science fiction B-movie, and features a number of rock and roll songs from that era.
Liz Moss, head of drama, said: "It's all very tongue in cheek. It's going really great and the cast are really looking forward to it."
The play will be on from Wednesday, December 1, until Friday, December 3, at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and £3.50 and are available by calling (01833) 638166.
