SURE Start County Durham is hoping that the Purple Monster Theatre Company will help it to fill 200 vacancies by March 2006.
As part of the recruitment drive, the theatre group has condensed a 12-hour course called Making Choices into a 40 minute performance to give people an idea of what working with children could mean.
Making Choices will be performed on Monday, at 10am, at Parkside School, Willington, at King James I Community College, Bishop Auckland, at 1pm, and at Teesdale School, Barnard Castle, at 6pm.
On Tuesday, it takes to the stage at Greenfield School, Newton Aycliffe, at 10am, Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College at 1pm and Spennymoor Comprehensive at 6pm.
