ONE of the region's radio stations has returned with honours from an awards ceremony.
Metro Radio and Magic 1152 won the best station-produced radio commercial at the London International Advertising Awards ceremony.
Writer Chris Allott and sound designer Sharon Dennis won the award for an advertisement they produced for Tyne and Wear Fire Brigade.
The commercial warned people of the dangers of chip pan fires.
It was also shortlisted in the Best Public Service category.
The station's creative services director, Mark Gregory, said: "It is superb for our team to win these awards."
