BOYBAND star Lee Brennan lit up Darlington at the weekend.
The 911 singer, who is appearing as Peter Pan in this year's Civic Theatre pantomime, joined Father Christmas to switch on the town's Christmas lights on Saturday.
Musical entertainment was provided by Alpha Radio.
Peter Pan, which also stars comedy favourites Cannon and Ball, runs from December 9 to January 23. Tickets are available from the box office on (01325) 486555.
Christmas shoppers in Darlington will be entertained by some familiar faces during the festive season.
Children's entertainers will be amusing the crowds at the Queen Street Shopping Centre every Sunday afternoon in the run-up to Christmas.
Balloon artists and magicians will be performing, and there will be appearances from Postie Pat, Building Bob, Mimie Mouse and Mikey Mouse.
Centre manager Rory Fleming said: "Christmas is all about children, but Christmas shopping can sometimes be less than fun for the little ones, and their mums and dads, too.
"Hopefully, our entertainers will bring a smile to their faces and make Christmas shopping on Sundays in Queen Street a real treat."
