AN MP says a council could have the cure for the vandalism of a town's library in its own hands.
Guisborough Library is being targeted by hooligans responsible for graffiti and broken windows and police have appealed to the public to be vigilant.
But Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland Labour MP Ashok Kumar said that the site is in need of street lighting. He said: "I think this is one of the reasons why the building is becoming a target. New lighting is, I believe, the key to keeping the library secure."
