RESIDENTS of twin villages are pressing for cycle routes for youngsters, more activities for young people and a survey on affordable housing.
They are three of the key issues raised by residents of Nawton and Beadlam, near Helmsley, as a result of an in-depth study into life in the villages, which is backed by The Countryside Agency.
Sandra Thurlow, chairman of Beadlam Parish Council, said action plans were being drawn up.
She said: "There has been a lot of interest in both villages in producing the plan because they are active communities."
Some people had raised the possibility of building a new village hall, among 16 suggested action points.
Others include the setting up of a newsletter, the need for more tree planting and creation of wildlife habitats, designation of quiet lanes, a website for the villages and the need for better maintenance of footpaths.
