AN arts charity is helping to reduce the cost of Christmas with a free day of craft ideas.
Rural Arts, in Thirsk, will stage Festive Delights at Sowerby Community Primary School on Saturday.
Professional artists will demonstrate techniques including monoprinting, collage and beading to create Christmas cards, wrapping paper, gift boxes and bags, tree decorations, Advent calendars, picture frames and jewellery.
Rural Arts director Angela Hall said: "It will be a great event for anyone who may be looking for some novel festive ideas."
The event will run between 10am and 4pm and everyone over the age of 19 is welcome. Places can be booked on (01845) 526536.
