A FULL day of entertainment will launch Christmas festivities in Redcar on Sunday.
The day gets under way with a live broadcast by Radio Cleveland's Stewart McFarlane and an afternoon packed with musical entertainment, with Abba tribute band Abba Forever as the main attraction.
Santa's parade will leave the bus station at 4pm, led by the Lockwood Brass Band and a lantern procession by local children.
Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson and Mayor Madge Moses will switch on the town's lights at 4.30pm.
Ms Grey-Thompson said her daughter was looking forward to the event. She said: "I am really excited to be switching on the lights and I think Carys is even more excited."
