MIDDLESBROUGH Mayor Ray Mallon has performed the official opening of fire protection specialist HE Woolley's Startforth Road headquarters.
The Teesside company said its move to the facilities heralded the next stage of its growth.
Mr Mallon said: "Business is the lifeblood of this town. That is why I am driving forward a strategy that will create an environment here in Middlesbrough in which businesses like Woolleys can continue to flourish."
In the past two years, HE Woolley has added 17 staff to its team and created two divisions.
The company said turnover was expected to exceed £1m next year for the first time in its history.
The company has recently been awarded a three-year contract by Coast and Country Housing Association to service its fire equipment.
The company, whose clients include steelmaker Corus, has also landed a major deal with a leading national buildings and materials manufacturer.
Managing director Harry Wilmot, who acquired the company in October 2000, said: "Everything seems to have come together over the last two or three years.
