GIRLS at Teesside Preparatory and High School, in Eaglescliffe, have raised more than £1,000 for Children In Need.
A group of sixthformers organised a week of fundraising activities involving pupils and staff, and raised £1,122.
The week began with a sponge the teacher session, during which three members of staff volunteered to be doused in cold water.
The year 12 pupils also organised two afternoons of stalls and games for children in the nursery and preparatory school, and for pupils in the senior school.
They also persuaded a number of teachers to take part in a pantomime they had written, with pupils paying 50p to watch.
On Friday, children paid for the privilege of not wearing school uniform as part of pyjama day.
Other activities included a tuck shop, a tombola, and baking and selling Pudsey biscuits.
Teacher Malcolm Wilkinson said: " The girls have proved that you can have fun while helping worthwhile causes. Everyone has supported their efforts and initiative and the girls have raised a fantastic amount of money.
