THE owners of a well-cared-for cat found in Hurworth have still not been found.
The beige and black striped queen tabby was taken in by the Cats' Protection League after being spotted outside the Spar shop, in Hurworth.
Its rescuers were convinced it had a loving owner because it was so well-fed and healthy. But now they are appealing for new owners to give the cat a home.
The cat, which has been named Kitty, is friendly, about 18 months old and has been neutered. It would be best suited to a home without young children.
