A NAME is needed for an environmentally friendly holiday park that dispels the image of low-budget living.
Ten "eco" holiday lodges are being built on the outskirts of Richmond.
Features of the cottages include a living plant-based roof, insulation made from recycled paper and a natural reed bed system for waste management.
After research showed the word "eco" put off prospective customers, builders Ecobuild UK Ltd have launched a competition to find a new name.
Company director Simon Spence said: "The holiday lodges are being built and designed to the equivalent of a five-star specification, putting them at the luxury end of the market.
"Unfortunately, the term 'eco lodge' gives holiday makers the opposite impression."
Suggestions for a new name should be sent to Ecobuild, Units 1-3, Aislabeck Plantation, Hurgill Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4SG.
The competition closes on December 31 and the winner will receive a food hamper of Yorkshire Dales produce.
