A ONE-OFF performance of Hat, a concert about wool and knitting, will take place next week.
Hat is the idea of Simon Thackray, the man behind The Shed arts venue in Brawby, Ryedale. It aims to capture the rhythmical click of needles and is billed as a performance of words, music and knitting.
Next Thursday, Hat will be staged at Helmsley Arts Centre to raise money for the North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre, in Old Malton. The charity provides music therapy for people.
The performance will start at 7.30pm, and there will be a free knitting class from 6.30pm.
Tickets are £15, to include a ball of wool, needles and a hat pattern. To book, call (01439) 771700.
