THE winners of a Christmas card competition organised by a Teesside MP will be announced next week.
Dari Taylor, MP for Stockton South, organised the competition for youngsters at primary schools in Thornaby, asking them to design a card for her to use this year.
Designs were entered by pupils from Mandale Mill Primary, St Patrick's RC Primary, Harewood Infants, Village Primary, Thornaby CE Primary and Christ the King RC Primary.
The winners will be announced by Stockton Mayor Jennie Beaumont at Thornaby Central Library on Monday. Two cards will be chosen and used.
Mrs Taylor said: "For me, Christmas is a special time for families and children. This year, I wanted to send a Christmas card designed by local children to reflect this sense of magic and innocence. I can't wait to see what the children have come up with."
