ARMY recruits have pulled together to raise money for charity. Hundreds of soldiers from the Infantry Training Centre at Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, took part in a 12-hour rowing competition yesterday.
Money raised from the event will go to the special care baby unit at Northallerton's Friarage Hospital, Hope for Caracoma and the Army Benevolent Fund.
A charity raffle and auction was also held, with prizes and lots donated by shops and businesses.
The soldiers are hoping to beat the £3,700 raised at last year's event.
