PUPILS were honoured for their achievements last night. Pupils from Longfield School, in Darlington, gathered for the annual prize-giving night to receive their awards from the editor of The Northern Echo, Peter Barron.
More than 120 students were recognised in a range of academic and sporting fields.
Headteacher Keith Cotgrave said: "There is no better testament for our hope for the future than to acknowledge the achievement of those who will shape it."
