STAFF and students have raised hundreds of pounds in memory of a teacher.
Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, in Darlington, staged a series of events as a tribute to maths teacher Lloyd Peardon, who died during the summer holidays.
Mr Peardon was known at the college for his extensive wardrobe of shirts and his passion for playing football.
As a result, staff and students donned garish shirts and took part in a football tournament, raising £600 for the British Heart Foundation. Mr Peardon's tutor group planned the day, with help from the student association and staff.
