ELDERLY people can get the information they need to stay safe and healthy during the winter at an event today.
St Anne's Church, in Bishop Auckland Market Place, is the venue for a winter health day for people aged 65 and over, between 10am and 2pm.
The event is organised by Durham Dales Primary Care Trust and Age Concern Durham County.
Advisors will be on hand to talk about home energy efficiency, food, gentle exercise, car break down cover, benefits and home security.
A mechanic will check cars of people who attend and others can get their annual flu jab.
Similar events will be held at Wytham Hall, Barnard Castle, on December 6, and Durham Dales Centre, Stanhope, on December 10.
