AN operatic society's first pantomime proved so popular that they are putting on another show this year.
Ferryhill Operatic Society presents Cinderella in the newly-refurbished Mainsforth Community Centre, Ferryhill Station, next month.
The group performed Dick Whittington as a trial last year, its first panto, and it played to a full house.
This year's play, written by Enid Gayle, is a traditional pantomime packed with familiar characters and songs.
The venue has undergone extensive improvements, including a lift for disabled people, new seats and a refurbished bar area.
The pantomime will run from December 16 to 18 at 7pm, with a performance at 2.30pm on December 18.
Tickets are £4 and £2.50 for children, with a block booking offer of 11 tickets for the price of ten. Tickets are available by calling (01740) 653530 or 652175.
The society is already working on next year's musical show, Call Me Madam.
