A grieving man has issued a plea to thieves who stole precious mementos from his home.
Construction site manager Jason Bell was left devastated when sneak burglars raided his house in Hemlington, Middlesbrough.
Painful memories of his fiancee's death were brought back when he discovered her engagement ring was missing.
Sarah Knight was 21 when she was killed in a car accident in North Yorkshire.
Mr Knight, now 35, lost his left leg below the knee in the crash on the Malton to Pickering road, in September 1991.
The couple had been due to marry the following year.
Burglars broke into his home last weekend.
He said: "I am so angry at the moment. I can't believe this has happened. It has brought back a lot of old memories."
Cleveland Police are appealing for information.
