A SWIMMING team from Darlington is waiting to hear whether it will take part in a national championship.
The Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College girls' swimming team won the divisional heats of the National Schools' Swimming Championships in Middlesbrough.
The team, consisting Natalie Bailey, Lynsey Carveth, Karley Cresser and Sarah Dove, came first in both the medley and freestyle team rally races.
They are now waiting to hear if their times are good enough to get them through to the finals.
