WORK by one of Britain's leading contemporary artists goes on display this weekend.
Spotlight on Eduardo Paolozzi, part of a national tour, opens at the Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery on Saturday.
It highlights examples of his work from the Arts Council Collection and includes sculptures, drawings and prints.
Gallery spokesman Dennis Hardingham said staff were delighted to host an exhibition of such innovative work.
Paolozzi was born in Leith in 1924 and, in the 1960s, his screenprints broke new ground in graphic art and played a major role in the development of pop art in Britain.
The exhibition runs at the dli, Aykley Heads, Durham City, until January 16.
