A GROUP of Newcastle youngsters got a taste of stardom when they performed in a musical in Cambridge.
The eight girls are now in secondary schools, but were pupils at Moorside Community Primary School when they performed in a show called Dreams of Mother Earth.
The musical originated in Sweden and was staged at the University Concert Hall, in Cambridge, earlier this month.
Liz Carrington, deputy headteacher at Moorside Community Primary School, said: "The girls had a fantastic time and really enjoyed performing in a proper concert hall."
They performed with youngsters from Northumberland and pupils from seven schools in Cambridge.
