PUPILS raised £1,122 in aid of Children In Need by holding a series of fundraising events.
The group of sixth formers, from Teesside High School in Eaglescliffe, organised a week of activities involving pupils and staff.
The fundraising began with a sponge-the-teacher session where three members of staff volunteered to be doused in cold water.
Year 12 pupils also organised an afternoon of stalls and games for children in the nursery and prep school on Wednesday, which was repeated on Friday for girls in the senior school.
They persuaded a number of teachers to take part in a pantomime, Babes In The Wood, which they had written, with pupils paying 50p to attend the production.
Friday was pyjama day when girls paid for the privilege of not wearing their school uniforms. Other fundraising activities included a tuck shop, a tombola, and baking and selling Pudsey Bear biscuits.
Year five pupil Asanti Das also raised money by taking part in a sponsored silence for 24 hours.
The organising team included Harriet Harriman, Sarah Reeder, Stephanie Ferry, Kate Bramwell, Felicity Hemlin, Natalie Lonsdale, Katie Opie, Katie Howison and Joanna Wilson.
Senior teacher Malcolm Wilkinson said: "The girls have proved that you can have fun while helping worthwhile causes.
"Everyone has supported their efforts and initiative and the girls have raised a fantastic amount of money."
