A NURSERY school in Darlington has been given a glowing report from school inspectors.
The Ofsted report found Borough Road Nursery was an effective school which provided a good education.
Inspectors said: "Children's personal qualities, including their spiritual, moral and cultural development, are very good.
"The very positive atmosphere in the nursery is reflected in the children's very good attitudes to learning and very good behaviour.
"They get on very well with one another and are becoming increasingly independent."
The school was also praised for its effective management and leadership.
Inspectors found children achieve more than expected and teaching is good. Parents hold the school in high regard. The school garden was also praised.
However the school must work to make sure the most able children are challenged.
Head teacher Lynn Millar said: "The inspection was a good and positive experience and the staff and governors are pleased with the result.
"It backs up the school. We are like a little oasis in the middle of the town and the children love the garden and use it continuously."
