A MAN suffering from brain cancer is bringing festive cheer to youngsters with the disease.
Jimmy Gustard, 40, of Urpeth Grange, near Chester-le-Street, is sending gifts to children who will be spending Christmas in Newcastle General Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead.
Collection points for gifts have been set up in the following pubs in Chester-le-Street: Queen's Head, High Crown, Black Horse, Butcher's Arms, Lambton Arms, Red Lion, Corner House and the Market Tavern as well as the Barley Mow pub in Birtley.
