A MAN has been arrested in connection with an assault in which a man suffered serious head injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which took place in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident took place outside the Parada pizza take-away, in Station Parade, at about 2.45am.
A man in his early 20s was approached by a man and was punched in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.
Police arrested a man at the scene.
The injured man was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a regional hospital.
Anyone who was in the area, or in the Parada take-away or leaving the Cardinal Sins nightclub at the time, has been asked to contact police.
