ONE of the biggest names in regional radio will be back on the air next year.
Paul "Goffy" Gough, who spent a decade at Century Radio and hosted its breakfast show for more than seven years before he left in April, is joining Metro Radio
The married father-of-three said: "I am very excited to be joining a successful station.
"Metro is the number one station in the North-East and I just cannot wait to get back on the air."
Metro managing director Sally Aitchison said: "Goffy is one of the North-East's best-known voices and has a real passion for radio.
"We have worked hard over the past few months to persuade him to join us and we are really pleased he has agreed to come."
Goffy will host a weekday show from 11am to 3pm starting on January 10.
