Spennymoor manager Graeme Clark believes that Moors can keep climbing the table after their 2-1 home win over Burscough on Saturday.
Moors are now ninth in the table with every chance of pushing on for a possible play-off place at the end of the season.
Clark, who side has lost just once in 12 games, said: "We've shown in the run that we're as good as anything in the division, and that we can climb the table even further. We've become difficult to beat, but we must keep the momentum going."
Andy Brown and Michael Oliver were both denied in the opening stages before Moors took the lead on 44 minutes when Danny Brunskill turned quickly on the edge of the area and scored with a left-foot shot into the top corner of the net.
The Burcough keeper pulled off two good saves to keep Moors out, but he was beaten on 67 minutes when David Coulson headed in a corner.
Burscough pulled a goal back through Mark Byrne, but Moors held on.
Conference club Barrow are understood to be interested in Moors' centre half Micky Gough.
Bishop Auckland are still bottom after they lost 2-0 at second-placed Whitby and had Mark Foster sent off for swearing in the second half.
Bishops boss Brian Honour said: "We knew it was going to be a tough game, but I thought we were a bit unlucky.
"I didn't think there was a great deal of difference. One team played with confidence because they're near the top of the table, and the other had their heads down a little bit because it's not quite going their way at the bottom."
After Bishops had some good early possession, Whitby took the lead in first-half stoppage time when David Pounder, signed from Scarborough, scored from ten yards.
Whitby went 2-0 up at the start of the second half with a strike from Scott Nicholson, and after Foster was dismissed, Bishops had more of the play but couldn't break through.
Gateshead conceded three goals in the second half as they lost 3-0 at Radcliffe Borough, to leave them just one place above Bishops.
Blyth are still in the bottom four despite picking up a point in a 0-0 draw at Marine.
